Exactly what I was thinking, too. And in 1907. Not sure I’ve ever seen the Fourth Wall thing done that long ago.
I saw a documentary on Netflix about comic strips (Stripped). There was a brief animated scene with Flip and the jungle Imp! Kind of cool. Good documentary, by the way.
Even by this comic’s high standards, this one is especially good.
