Jimmy Choo Shooz gets there first. Doubleup and Tracy arriving at almost the same time before Jimmy can erase Axelrod. Afterwards, Blaze will no longer have a spotless record

Once Tracy and Sam are onto Blaze, the “Fall of the Blackhearts” might begin in earnest.

Wonder if “Axelrod” is a reference to playwright/director George Axelrod.

Clever strip today. That last panel is unique.

It’s a three-way race! As I was saying yesterday, Tracy had to stop and figure out where to go, so he’s at a disadvantage. It sounded like he was planning to check out several betting parlors in the area, but he was going for the radio, so maybe he was able to access some intell at the station telling him where to go. In any case, that would introduce a delay.

Doubleup seemed to know exactly where he was going, so he should get there fast. Obviously, Jimmy can head directly there because he owns the place, so he obviously knows where it is.

Traffic jams or traffic lights might affect any of them, but I still think that Tracy and Sam are at a slight disadvantage.

Kind of weird colour job today. Has anyone ever seen a brown convertible?

Since the fall of the Blackhearts is presumably going to start from this, my money is on Doubleup getting there first.

There’s a reason Axelrod is last, and I suspect Jimmy will be there and disappeared before DoubleUp or Tracy shows.

Is it wrong that Fontane’s death affected me more than the demise of Axel’s “crack combat troops” …?

I like to think Slim called Axelrod to tell him what’s happened to Cork, and to watch out for Jimmy.(Gee, maybe it’s Axelrod who gets Jimmy.)

Late start today!

Gweedo, was that your drone hovering over our crypt last night? It was interfering with our tv signal as we were watching “Creature Feature”.

I agree with Nightshade09, I think Axelrod will be forewarned.

This is probably my favorite strip so far from the current creative team. It certainly builds up the suspense. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that Blaze and DoubleUp get to Axelrod’s place first.

My bet: Axelrod will be somewhere else, so the chase can continue. No sense making the story arc go too fast.

Just a quick break from my self imposed break to point out how terrible panel one is drawn. Jimmy the Geek looks like he’s sitting in the middle of his brown Mach Five, it’s drivers side view mirror is backwards and the steering wheel is also in the middle. Maybe he used some of the stolen gold to have the car customized with a quick stop at Maaco for the fabulous paint job. Anyway, back to sleep! ZZZZZ… LOL!

If there’s a shoot-out that takes out Jimmy and Axelrod, I wonder if there’s anyone else who knows where the gold is? The Blackhearts are still going to want to know about it but will Tracy be able to make the connection between Jimmy and the gold robbery? There could be a lot to this story yet. Certainly Ted Tellum was depicted for some reason that will connect at some point.
