I promise to never knowingly rip off another toonist. Some gags are so logical that another artist may well come up with the same joke given the right stimulation. After 39+ years doing this I hardly ever have a time when I cannot come with a joke and I never get so desperate that I feel my only resort is to copy others. Besides, I know a lot of these guys from the NCS and if I stole from them they would stop buying me drinks at the Reuben’s.
