Guess, in Tracy’s mind, thoughts on ‘working’ the Gold robbery - will temporarily be put on the back-burner ?There is no easy, or logical connection between the two.
What’s up here, is likely murder - requires top attention !
Good morning Tracy fans and the ‘One and Only’ Gweedo. So the police will get there first. Mr Bigg will not like this development. Have an awesome day my friends.
panel 3 isn’t some of Joe’s best art, but he did manage an expression on Blaze’s face that shows just how troubled she is about the situation.Even though I am not praising the artwork (in panel 3 only) it’s still a billion times better than what I can do. I have drawn some pictures of Blaze and other DT figures, but have not been able to capture the facial expressions. Maybe someday when I get enough nerve up I’ll post some of my pictures. … and then again maybe not. I think I need to leave that to the pros.
Good morning Mr. Starman 1948 and may you have a blessed and awesome day as well.
“The police” are already at Jimmy’s? Is Blaze referring to Dick and Sam? Is this the plot crux that required that they be in a (marked) patrol car?. If Dick and Sam have found Fontane freshly dead, it is wise for Blaze to stay out of there, and unwise for DoubleUp to go in; he should wait as long as possible to see what the cops do before trying the lame excuse that he “just wanted to place a bet.” He’s at a disadvantage without his bullwhip, his bullwhip….
I don’t think he is. He is legitimately out of prison, as far as I can remember. He did kill someone at the Wheaton farm, I believe, but nobody saw him do it. They don’t really know it was him. At least, I don’t suppose so.
On further investigation, Illinois seems to have legitimate off-track betting: http://www.illinoisotb.com/ so I suppose that Tracy’s state may have something like that.
It’s also interesting that Blaze was first introduced to the strip during a sequence that involved Ted Tellum and guess who is back (or was a couple of days ago)!

Don’t know why that struck me as being so funny, but the line, “Better leave your bullwhip” just made me laugh out loud!

Blaze Rize: all of the responsibility and none of the risk. It works out well for her.

Morning, Tracyville!
We might be adding Doubleup to our list of Dick Tracy obituaries.

Double Up without his bullwhip will eventually end up confronting Tracy and Sam who ARE armed… the end result doesn’t look good for Double Up

Blaze risks plenty, but her ‘clean’ status is part of her job, and she’s too… levelheaded to jeopardize that without good reason.

Dick s profile is unique. Everyone has a “signature” way of doing it…better leave the whip behind…TBC!!!

I think he looks great in both renderings.
Yes, he does look great in both, but the black and white seems more dramatic to me. more dramatic to me!
