    And not even a very good one, if it found Winger and Nelson, but not Van Halen or Motley Crüe!

    Of course, I know very little about 80’s hair bands…not my thing…but it seems to me it missed some of the most valuable stuff to dig up.

    I never understood how Ratt managed to get Milton Berle in their video. It was the only thing I liked about them.

    Van Halen is before the “hair metal” era and is simple hard rock.

    I agree about Motley Crue being a better choice.

    Nelson was more poppy than anything but the brothers had long flowing locks.

    Def Leppard would actually be British new wave metal based on their timeline but got lumped into the hair metal scene.

    Winger actually had some top level musicians in the band like Rod Morgenstein who plays fusion jazz.

    I believe the Milton Berle connection had to do with someone’s relationship to Uncle Milt.
