I strongly support body cams, or for that matter citizen support like the guy who filmed the Scott incident. BUT, I want the ones of the criminals being the bad guys getting just as much press- those cases would overwhelmingly outnumber the number of “bad cop” videos. Which, has anyone ever watched TV show “Cops” videos of the way things generally do go down?
Cameras have reduced complaints against police by 66%. They’ve reduced ASSAULTS ON COPS by bad guys, by 88%.
BTW: spousal abuse IS a serious problem, and little noted is that it works BOTH WAYS! Wife beats (or shoots) husband, is actually fairly common, but the press treat it like a case of man biting dog.
