The police dash cam does show a legitimate, and polite stop. When Scott took off running, it gave rise to the probability of the officer having a felony GTA, or more, on his hands, but even after a “taser” altercation, does NOT warrant the use of deadly force on an UNARMED SUSPECT. Of course, in Texas, a private citizen can blow away several suspects, in the back, and not raise an eyebrow. (Or in the “Armed Citizen” colums of the NRA.)

The people on Scott’s side in this do seem to admit that he had some complicity, but that no, the shooting was NOT warranted. They’re also staying less enflamatory than the media, or outsiders, gaining some respect for them under the circumstances.

“Runners” must be handled with care, because at close quarters they can be VERY dangerous, but when yards away, unarmed, and fleeing from the cops (never good idea), that threat of physical harm to the officer drops dramatically. So this became a bad action, regardless the potential charges.

We seem to pride ourselves being #1 in everything! (Wether we are or not.)
