Aaah, the feminization of our men. Why are men always portrayed so badly?

Ok, I got this idea at the store the other day. I parked in the lot, and as I got out there was a cart waiting there. I took that cart in to the store with me, did my shopping, went to my car, and after putting my groceries away left the cart there for the next person. My idea was, why not have 200 mini cart corrals, one for each space, rather than 4 large ones. Get out of your car, get the cart, shop, leave the cart.

You can even have a means of locking them/unlocking them if you desire.

    Ok, so it’s a work in progress…

Anyways, I always make a point to take my carts back in the store, where they are originally parked, those underpaid overworked employees work hard enough as it is.

Not all stores employ specific cart people. At the store I used to work at we still had courtesy clerks, the people who bag your groceries. They were the ones who were sent out to get your carts and usually they were just kids, 16 and 17 year olds. Out in the 100+ degree weather, or out in the -15 degree weather walking on a sheet of ice, getting your cart from the corner of the parking lot where you abandoned it. Checkers check faster when there’s people at the end of their checkstand bagging your groceries (instead of having the checker do it, see how much faster it goes when there’s someone bagging while another person checks?). But if the baggers are busy out getting your stray carts from everywhere put the corrals they can’t bag, can they? Putting your cart in the corral is beneficial to everyone because not only are there more parking spaces available because there’s no carts in them, but you can get out of the store faster too!

Not only do I return my cart to it’s proper storage location, when I arrive at the store, I take one in with me.

We regularly shop at Aldi, and I agree, their system works well. I guess that is about the best we will get. I agree with you on the people being lazy part. And thanks for realizing the cart would get a mini spot, not a regular size space, unless they pay extra for 1st class. : )

People who don’t put their carts up are self centered butts. Especially when they just leave it in the middle of a parking space. People that do that should have their driving privileges taken away for a year.
