“Giving aid and support to an enemy who continually vows to destroy us is traitorism. Kerry did the same thing regarding the Vietnam war- "I would like you to show where Viet Nam threatened the United States of America.(was it not feared by USA and others that if southeast asia became communist, they would try to expand further. Viet Nam became communist. where did any of the dominoes fall?)Conservatives are often showing distain for the USA by taking rights and property from others.
A note for comparison, the ‘toonists always show Iran sitting on a single bomb they MAY want to get, but they never show Netanyahu sitting on the hundreds of nukes he’s ALREADY GOT? The real negotiating point should be getting rid of the nukes already there, everywhere.
“Not since 2003”You’re dreaming. A large portion of the recent negotiations with Iran, in which several of Iran’s neighbors participated, involved attempt to reduce Iran’s uranium-enrichment infrastructure – centrifuges etc.Iran’s neighboring countries, all those within range of their present/future missiles, are very concerned about Iran’s ability to make nuclear weapons, right now.
And if there is no negotiated treat, in the frame will just be the ayatollah and the nuclear weapon. What people that do not want to negotiate do not get is that their solutions do not change the picture. Continuing sanctions like that has worked for us? North Korea, IranWar as a solution? What practical solution do you have other than negotiations that would keep a nuclear weapon out of the picture frame? So far nothing but silence and making fun of negotiating.
An Interesting view from a Jewish newspaper. http://forward.com/articles/217842/how-bibi-and-bush-made-a-mess-of-the-middle-east/Conservative ideologies affect Iran too.http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2013/11/iran-guards-keep-death-america-chant-201311216636753761.html
There are two advantages to this deal. First, we get to do inspections. If they balk, then the deal SHOULD be off, and sanctions re-imposed IMMEDIATELY. It all depends on who is running the U.S. at the time.Second, no one can say that the U.S. didn’t try.Beyond this, we are just stalling for time. MAYBE something positive might happen in the interim. If Iran gets close, Israel will probably act. Then, PRAY! even if you are atheist!

Lurch needs to look more like Lurch, but otherwise a good cartoon.

It would be nice if the conservatives could come up with a credible alternative plan that doesn’t include another trillion dollar war.
