Actually, two walks and a single are pretty good for a guy with a deformed wrist.

What’s with the jackets with the big M on the back? Looks like some sort of super-hero costume. Mighty Man, perhaps.

Huh. Rubin avoided the obvious cliche. Did someone whack him over the head and replace him with a Ouija board channeling Jack Berrill’s ghost?

Do you have to have handicapped tags to pitch for Milford? The grotesque angle of the 2 pitchers wrists so far has got to qualify. And if that’s an example of one of Tru’s pitches in P3 it’s a sacred miracle that somebody was able to manage a single.

The Thorpalcholics (me in particular), have pined for years to have a Mudlark hero like Mr. Berrill would develop for the readership. Perhaps Team Rubin has read and listened to our pleas, ex: State Champ, to good to be true HS star, lovable lug (BBJ) and a few shower scenes. Happy Derby Day Gil Fanatics.

Good thing they finished the game before those storm clouds rolled in.

Thanks a lot Gil Thorp artist for changing the color of Gil’s jacket from yesterday so that I couldn’t just reuse yesterday’s “State Champ” lettering. They’re messing with me! And speaking of messes, here’s today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Firing Line or Mr. Z. In addition to having a Super Horse, too many other variables have to fall in place for a Triple Crown winner.

Of course you are correct JPuzzleWhiz about the pop out. But that flipper Tru’s showing in P1 just might be able to lob one in at that angle too.

Had the triple in the Derby. It didn’t pay a lot but still. Strange race though, with the same 3 horses in front the whole way. The pace was just slow enough so they didn’t tire and the closer’s couldn’t catch up.
