My non-Mormon father went to BYU because some of his friends were going. That’s where he also met my mother (who was already Mormon).

I picked mine because I could walk to it.

My father wanted me to go to a university that was close enough that I could live at home and save the costs of room and board. It was a private university, and my father never did get that the tuition costs would have made it enormously more expensive than going to a top-rate state university and staying in the barracks (I mean dorms) there.

I choose the technical college in my small hometown so I could live at home and pay for my education myself. Ya do what you have to do .

I picked mine because of the jazz program. Then I washed out of the music department. Still like playing, though.

Mine picked me because life circumstances kept me at home. I plan to finally leave my hometown when I graduate.
