And why is/was Mr. Cruz considering Obamacare? The most likely reason is that his wife’s COBRA plan would be much more expensive than what he could get through the ACA—just one more piece of evidence that the ACA is working.

By the way, mental health coverage under the ACA is actually not that bad, and is definitely better than what folks had been getting offered before the ACA came along. You can get a sense of mental health and substance abuse coverage here.

Somebody tell Hatman that it’s only in its second year. Maybe it feels like 5 years.

In any case, the main problem with mental health is that you have to believe you need treatment. With megalomaniacs like Cruz, they’re already perfect, so why would they mess with that?

I just returned from my parents home town in Mexico. where I made a point of looking for any Mexican that resembles the caricatures Lalo paints in his cartoon. There were none.

His drawings of Mexicans is insulting and raciest.

In the US he has the right to any expression he want but so does the KKK. They are both legal but they are both raciest and wrong.

It is normal for cartoonist to exaggerate features of well known people especially presidents or for humor but his is the only one that is strictly race based.

There are probably much fewer people dying in their apartments than before too. And less people trying to stitch closed their own wounds. And it has really cut down on people using hospitals as their health care providers.People going to hospitals for primary care cost the public as well as costing the hospitals. There would be a lot more people who would be using ACA if it weren’t so hard to get in red states.

Be fair. both parties name-call, smear, and with fox tv, the republicans arm, admitted to by at least one republican, every day 24-7 is a democrat bashing and lying to the people. Roger Ailes was on the phone almost every day with W Bush. He says he quit politics years ago, Now he calls it “news”.

I make too little to qualify for a subsidy, and so I’m paying $175 a month for a policy with a $6000 annual deductible. This means that I have to pay $8000 out-of-pocket (deductible & premiums) each year before it’ll ever kick in. []It’s ensured that I can never afford to see a doctor again.

IN MY OPINION, Ted Cruz has mental problems that would cause some to believe he is, indeed, crazy. One doesn’t need medical qualifications to have an opinion.
