How much “solar power” does Seattle get each year? Liquid sunshine notwithstanding.

Lived there for 12 years. Once, I never saw the sun for 4 months.Folks with skin cancer (from Florida, etc.), go there to live. You’d better be very busy, to take your mind off the weather.

Folks in Seattle run all the time to avoid the chill. No wonder they’re so healthy !

From July 4 to mid-Sept., Seattle actually is drier than Tucson. Otherwise, the pacemaker guy should have invested in batteries.

Here in NYC, since the beginning of the week, we have yet to see the sun. Really didn’t notice though!

Funny. Living across Puget Sound from Seattle I love it when this image is promoted—cuts down on immigration. Actually, six months of the year the area’s rainfall is above the national average. Six months it’s below the national average. Love the strip!

Hey! Quit picking on us! Portland gets more rain! Why do you think it’s called the “evergreen” state! WE love it thru and old weather!

Agreed. Snow pack is about 15% of normal here in Oregon. Yeah it’s gonna be a very bad year for drought. I live west of Portland in a heavily wooded area and the the local fire department is very worried. The only people not worried are the real “flakes” while the rest of us, especially those like me who’ve lived here for over 55 yrs, we know it’s time to worry. We had a very early spring and everything is growing like crazy. Massive grass and undergrowth greening up and budding out a month early.Spring rains after a dry winter are a fire nightmare in the making. They don’t stick around but they do encourage a huge growth of greenery early in the season that dries out nicely just in time for fire season.
