Trust me on this one: Things like this happen with major college sports teams. Someone offers the athletic department a dollar more and your season tickets of long standing can be canceled today. I found this out by personal experience in the 1990s. And, yes, I’m still bitter.

That’s why I prefer attending DIII games: The stands are never full, tickets cost only $10 without seat license fees and the players will be in class Monday morning (win or lose) and graduate in four years.

The football and basketball factories ONLY care about money and couldn’t even READ the definition of “loyalty” in a dictionary. Check back in a few years to see just how many colleges jump conferences once again yet again…….

Not just the factories, Northwestern a few years back adjusted the definition of “perpetuity” when they changed Dyche Stadium to Ryan Field. Apparently they had to lose the grammar department in the last round of belt tightening.

Hinds is from Houston, and this is about the Texas A&M $450 million renovation (paid for by – surprise – seat licenses from new donors at the expense of old donors) of Kyle Field. It will be fun to watch what he has to say in skewering the highly tradition-bound Aggies as the cheated alums file lawsuit after lawsuit over this business. Being a Red Raider from Texas Tech, I love seeing the cannibalism of such traditionalism. Is it money? Tradition? Loyalty? Or is just egotistical babies who want to beat the T-sips at all cost? Should be fun.

    We have:

    1) lawsuits in Texas state courtshttp://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/25109634/texas-am-fans-sue-aggies-over-kyle-field-reseating

    2) lawsuits in a Florda state courthttp://www.chron.com/sports/aggies/article/New-Kyle-Field-seating-lawsuit-filed-in-Florida-6146698.php

    3) lawsuits in US Federal disctrict courthttp://blog.chron.com/sportsupdate/2015/03/ams-12th-man-foundation-faces-another-suit-in-kyle-field-seating-rights/

Looks like the Aggies are giggin’ themselves. LOL.
