Congressional Republicans heckled Obama. (Man: You lie!!) They invited some jerk to insult him. and cheered. They even wrote to our enemies to ask them not to make peace with Obama. So it's just a matter of time. (Man: A burning bag! On my porch!) (No, Mr. President!)

Yeah, but: It’s OKAY If A Republican heckles a Democratic president in a State of the Union Address.
He was treated as a hero by fellow Republicans and Fox “news”.

“aid and comfort” to your enemies, that’s like okay, Just ask Jolly Ollie North, even weapons are hunky dory if you’re working for a Repubiclan and illegally funding an insurrection south of the border. Oh, I guess the only country in the Middle East to attack U.S. sailors without provocation is okay too.
Considering we DID go into Iraq and Bush got what he wanted from Congress, despite all his administration’s lies, I guess the “loyal oppositition” just has a different definition and standards for the lunatic right.

And those standards are what’s in the burning bag.

OK, so Obama hasn’t turned out to be much of a change from the previous adminsistration; at least he has one thing going for him that no other contender seems to have – at least he’s not a Clinton or a Bush.

And don’t forget a gun company wanted to name a gun after that congressman. Somewhere, he found a shred of class and asked them not to. As far as hating Democrats, some people have been carefully taught to do that no matter what they actually do. As for importing a million “collectible” rifles, that should drop their value to close to zero. The State Dept originally chose to follow the law on not returning them to the U.S., but it must be Obama’s fault personally. Everything is, after all.

Hey, Rest-of-the-World: Are you merely amused, or worried at the farce of our American polity?
Dtroutma about 9 years ago
Hmm, most hunters using a garand have a “sporterized” version and the carbine is fun too, but there are much better hunting rifles out there.
But a contrast to NOT allowing Korea to export these ancient firearms, the U.S. also will not let them IMPORT the updated computer equipment and electronics for their very good fighter aircraft F-50, because Lockheed (Mrs. Cheney’s) old company would be faced with an aircraft better and more competitve than their F-16. South Korea would also have a better aircraft to face off with the North if anything “hits the fan”.
Hmm, conservative thought on antiques, vs corporate conservative Capitalist thought on legitimate competition for their interests.

@Harleyquinn“That what make a good loony liberal, I care I care.. I want I want… I care I really do. Hope and change..”Well, I guess that is what the Republican Party is about these days: No Hope, No Change.

““some jerk” Bebi is a true leader.”.I think Ted is just being playful with that remark.

@Night-Gaunt49 Sorry. I don’t follow. And honestly I’m not enough into this page to care that much. But I would say this. Conflating CONSERVATIVES with the Republican Party you seem to be a bit over-generalizing yourself. I can accept that there are CONSERVATIVES who are kind, generous people who do help. But as for the Republican Party, who do they help?It seems to me that my country (America) is withdrawing, much as Israel is withdrawing, into a surly bunker mentality with Those Who Have living in Gated communities and those who don’t living in Ghettos. And from what I can see, the Republican Party is helping that trend. So again I say, the Republican Party is the party of NO HOPE, NO CHANGE.And as a father concerned about his children I truly loathe it.

Hmm, Sonny Barger was also a “true leader”, like that guy on the Rhine? Bibi’s just an almond with no roca.

He has done something no one thought was possible. He made Bush look good.
And Bush made Clinton look good.
If you can project where this is going, it doesn’t bode well for our future..

Neither party could get over 40% approval in a survey released today, ’bout deserved, actually.
I’ve long wished our Presidents had to face the pit with question and answer periods with the House, as in Britain.W would have embarassed himself in under a minute speaking for himself.Today’s Republicans in the House, or Senate, wouldn’t last 20 seconds with Kennedy, LBJ, Cllinton, or Obama, before looking for new jobs. Reagan might have stood up in his first two years, but not in his last six.
