I once asked my late husband ( and no, I didn’t kill him) “How are you doing today?”, and he replied, “What business is it of yours?” He did actually die a natural death, which surprised everybody who knew him.
Since I never complain, my wife took to reading subtle clues in what I said, didn’t say, did, didn’t do, every body motion and twitch..It took years to get her to mostly understand I never complained because I was satisfied.I continue to love her through those other times.
