My Maine Coon does this on the stairs, he will stretch himself as far as possible across the top of the stairs and demand petting as a toll for using “His” stairs.Fortunately I have him broke of food begging (a spritz bottle works wonders) or as big as he is, we’d never get across the kitchen.He’s a 21 pounder.
