C’mon, Dil’s brothers! Dil’s even wearing a helmet!

Cul de Sac must have some pretty lax zoning.

Admittedly it has been a few years since I was 4, but I cannot see the appeal of the idea of pushing a popper on a skateboard ramp. How is it going to be different from pushing it on a sidewalk? Or linoleum? And the steep slope on those ramps would have scared the devil out of 4 year old me.

Dill’s intrepid and adventurous brothers have built a skateboard ramp that looks more like a major roller coaster! I wonder if Alice’s popper can handle 90 MPH and high g-forces?

Damn thing looks like pain, waiting to happen.

They have skills. Most skaters can’t handle a Mobius loop.

Looks as though Dill’s brothers may have a modicum of sense – unless they’re freezing Dill out purely because of spite.

re toy: the “popper” came out after I had reached double digits of age. however, my 10 years’ younger sister got one, and I LOVED listening to the sound and trying to figure out how it worked

I’m guessing that we’re seeing the brothers’ skateboard ramp through the eyes and imagination of Alice & Dil. When you’re that age stuff can look way out of proportion.

If you have a treadmill, you can have hours of popper fun without having to go anywhere. Just pull your chair up next to it and have at it.
