Far left? Where do you get these ideas? I’m pretty far left, and from where I sit on the political spectrum I can hardly see Obama. I had hopes that he would be at least a liberal, but he rarely gets even that far. A true liberal, for instance, would have insisted on real health insurance reform, rather than the pro-insurance industry compromise we got instead. A true liberal would have socked the financial institutions responsible for the 2008 crash. A true liberal would have pushed much harder for infrastructure jobs. Anyone who was a real leftist would never get close to the nomination, anyway.
