Does anyone want to join me in my class action suit against Tribune Media Services for inflicting pain and suffering via its Dick Tracy strip? I would define the “class” in this case as anyone with a modicum of artistic taste.

I thought this is a final rehearsal and only now they pull out the ‘arsenal’!

It’s time to put this strip out of its misery.

Rightwingmoron, the one in the middle is obviously a badly drawn automatic revolver.

I think it looks more like a badly drawn Luger (front clip??).

There’s a pretty badly drawn Anja in panel one as well.

what is that thing with the ring around it that is close to the ‘arsenal’? it kinda looks like a human hand with what appears to be a thumb of sorts but the whole thing is too big for what appears to be a wrist and at the same time what appears to be fingers are far too short and stubby.. OH! — it IS a human hand!

wouldn’t it be funny if you finally were able to meet the recluse mister Lochner and as you reached out to shake his hand, it looked liked the all the badly drawn hands dick is famous for?.

I’ve been around guns all my life, and I’ve never seen anything like that whatever-it-is in the center.

The middle gun looks like a water pistol. The same size fingers, a sure sign of Down’s Syndrome or other geneitic disorder. :)

How do you get more suspense out of an actual shootout? It’s easy! Just remember:

War is Peace! Freedom is Slavery! Ignorance is Strength!

Delay is Suspense! Talk is Action! Boredom is Excitement!

GUNS ? Hmm ! - The first little hint that one MONTH of standing still and talking CRAPO with only incremental story movement is coming to an end ?

Were Mark Twain alive and the Director of the play, he may well have looked outside a panel and asked Dick Locher - ”Why do you have us ‘standing’ here looking like empty envelopes without addresses on them ?”

As morrow seemed to hint yesterday, whatever happened to Locher’s SHOCK troops (?) Seems they’ve just quietly MELTED away into the night … They’d have to be a lot more ‘creative’ than Dicky Locher to make more than a “powder puff” point !

Tracy is looking “Fosdick-y” in Panel 1, talking to ANJA 3000.

The bottom gun is actually a cigarette lighter.

watcha, there’s a lot going on at this “dress rehearsal” that would have been done at a first run-through. The arsenal, the costuming, Tracey’s awareness that the script deviates from “real life”……

And when Johnny fires the water pistol/cigarette lighter, the silly dead duck will….

I think Tracy has a dog coming out of his sleeve. Either that or he’s going to be doing shadow art.
