Let’s see… we got Hagar the Horrible, Dagwood Bumpstead, Charlie Brown, one of the “B.C.” cavemen, and… Heart from “Heart of the City”?

Seems too tall to be Heart. My first thought was Hi from Hi & Lois.

Notice that Ishy is the only one scared. I thought he would be use to this by now.

Thank goodness the Family Circus kids aren’t there. That would have been really scary.

Peanuts is not a zombie. It’s in reruns. Schulz is the only one who’s ever drawn Peanuts strips. That’s very different from zombie strips, which are a thing.

Big difference between a true zombie strip and one that just appears in reruns.

I’ll stick up for the old guys. As was pointed out. Peanuts is reruns and that is good. I’d hate to be in a world in which Peanuts was unknown. As for the Zombies, it depends. It depends on who takes over the strip. Sometimes it can revitalize a strip. Andy Capp has been funnier than it has been in years when the current guys took over. Yes, they compete for space with new up and coming strips in the newspapers. But that will only be an issue for a few more years. There is plenty of space on a web page.

Huh. At first, I didn’t even notice the zombies were other comic characters. Guess it’s been a long week. Thanks, all.

Agree that most of those characters are from ancient strips, but Hart of the City hardly qualifies as and ancient strip.

I noticed that the only time anyone mentions comic strips as a pop culture icon is in the comic strips.
