Shows how bright he is. The “I punt” will alienate both sides of the issue. I am sure he believes in one or the other. Just the kind of guy we need for president.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo stands up to the Unions in NY state. I’m glad the press is not raking him over the coals for this, but maybe its because he’s a Democrat.
The Democrats are ‘anti-science’ as well when it comes to the topic of genetic engineering of our food supply. They rather see crops turn rotten before they hit the store shelves.
Governor Cuomo is in the process of taking money away from public education, so he can give it to his rich friends, who will return some of that public money to him, so that Cuomo can run for president.
Unions are imperfect, as a result of involving human beings. Many are good. Some are good, and have a few bad people at the top. However, imperfect though they may be, unions are standing up for working people far better than either of the major political parties in this country.
I am a Christian, and have absolutely no problem with the Theory of Evolution! Just like the Catholic Church no longer has a problem with that same theory.
However, like the latest pols seem to show, I am part of the greater (and usually silent on this particular issue) majority of Americans, that attribute that very evolution to the “Hand of God” at work in a natual manner, and not just to blind chance. If my God is great enough to have actually created this incredible universe, then he is certainly also great enough to influence the evolution that eventually created us from the stardust that Carl Sagan believed in.
For despite the incredible length of billions of years that is involved in that evolution, it is not even a small part of the needed time for humanity to evolve natually by chance. And no, I do not as a Christian believe the universe and the Earth are only some 6,000 years old by taking the bible literally for the seven days of creation. It is not seven literal days, it IS seven natual events guided by the hand of our creator.
After all, Peter states in II Peter: 3 verse 8;“Do not forget this one thing dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.”
Which if you think about it the true comparison would be correctly 365,250 years to one day (converting years to days and multiplying by 1,000), so seven of those days (even if you took the bible literally) would be 3,556,750 years to one! I could well understand this to be at least somewhat fanciful to some here. But the more simple truth is that if God IS God, and the very definition of God is omnipotent and omnisient, then such a God would stand outside ot both the space and time with which we are so familiar, and time would have absolutely no meaning to such a creator. If my God is not that great then my God is not even worthy of being God in the first place. So, it might just as well be that God created all in the universe in seven nanoseconds of Gods own time! Hopefully, that explanation is clear enough, that the bible and science are NOT in opposition to one another!
Godd Grief, I have even heard that some Christian Fundamentalists state the God has only made the universe to appear to be some 14.6 billian years old to human science to fool us into the proverbials “Sin”! But, as the great psalmist states in Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the Glory of God”. Then that would make these people stateing that the Glory of God is a deceit. And I would certinly think that God would then be very angry with people that would believe that in any way!!
So, I would like to think tha tI have presented my point in a reasonable manner here. And so, such a God Bless you all, and Have A Great Day!!
To a politician, answering this type of question isn’t about declaring their actual beliefs. It’s about telling their base what they want to hear. If Walker were to answer that he believed in evolution, the conservative Christians would have pitched a collective fit and Walker’s campaign would be over on the spot. If he said he didn’t believe in evolution, especially when asked in Europe, he’d be dismissed as a fool.I saw the same thing from Obama in 2008 when a reporter asked if he supported gay marriage. Obama squirmed in his seat and gave a lukewarm, fence sitting answer formulated to turn off the fewest number of voters. Ironically, it’s what turned me off to him and caused me to vote 3rd party.
There is no need to “believe” in evolution; it is not difficult to demonstrate that it’s true. Similarly, one does not have to “believe” in gravity, the germ theory of disease, or the periodic table. As for the “other factors,” “what can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”

Cuomo thinks that pushing people who are already working 50, 60, 70 hours a week at their jobs to do more is acceptable, moral behavior.

Politicians PROVE evolution is real, and rapid, just watch how rapidly their positions evolve as they move from one poll or audience to the next!!

Apparently you don’t believe in education.
