It’s pretty much common knowledge that our interventions in Iraq cost not only American lives but thousands more Iraqi lives, resulted in broken families, permanent handicaps and so much useless suffering….on the pretext that Saddam was harboring WMD, a lie. It did create, however, nice little gangs of Al Qaeda where there were none and did it with a bare-bone coalition.

Today, we are fighting ISIL, a truly warranted cause, with a genuine coalition of 60 countries, oops, minus the UAE, which has just chickened out.

And if anyone has a doubt, they are spreading like gang-green not only in Iraq and Syria, but everywhere they can get a foothold.

Check out these nice little groups in North and Sub-Saharan Africa, just for starters : ANSAR DINE, ANSAR AL CHARIA, AQMI and ALMOURABITOUNE, just for starters.

This is one we have to win.

I am saddened by what Brian Williams did. I like Nightly News because it is a news program and does not have all of the entertainment the local news does. Perhaps the ratings pressures caused him to push too hard. He was still there in a helicopter not far behind the one that got shot at. I think he does a good job for us. It is unfortunate he screwed up.

Mikefive, not only does Brian have years of good work, those others getting thrown down the toilet by the wingers anxious to put Glenn Beck or Chuck Todd at the desk, have made Brian and all true journalists quadraplegics…

What he did was totally wrong, and apologized for. Beck, Rush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, never apologize for their multitude of lies and defamations (not only the troops). That would be “weak”.

Many Democrats have their hand in the till as well as their spouses, examine Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi. Chicken hawk Dems voted en masse for the Iraq war authorization.

Unfortunately, there are no supplements capable of enlarging your pea brain.

“Can’t refute the message so attack the messenger. So typical. What does that say about you?”.It’d say that he’s modeling his approach after YOU, if it were true.

Furthermore, getting the opinion of American military personnel "during the war’, is paramount to converting Christians to Christianity. I was referring to lies before the war.Why did the rest of the world not follow GB, Australia and Poland (194 strong!)?Major reasons were that there was wide-held belief that there were no WMD, that the IAEA should have continued their inspections, that invading Iraq would worsen the situation (64 percent of pre-war American opinion), and that the UNMOVIC report was being ignored.

Paris Girl: Powell has stated that the worst moment of his entire career was the lies he told in that U.N. speech, and even he had been lied to by Feith, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Perle, and others.
