Sounds like Hillarys self- aggrandizing lie!Brian Williams disrespected every service member that REALLY put their life on the line for their country.Another lefty lie the media likes to protect……..(Reuters) – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday she made a mistake when she claimed she had come under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia in 1996 while she was first lady.

In a speech in Washington and in several interviews last week Clinton described how she and her daughter, Chelsea, ran for cover under hostile fire shortly after her plane landed in Tuzla, Bosnia.

Several news outlets disputed the claim and a video of the trip, showed Clinton walking from the plane, accompanied by her daughter. They were greeted by a young girl in a small ceremony on the tarmac and there was no sign of tension or any danger.

“I did make a mistake in talking about it, you know, the last time and recently,” Clinton told reporters in Pennsylvania where she was campaigning before the state’s April 22 primary. She said she had a “different memory” about the landing.

Makes me think of George W shooting down all those Migs over Alabama, serving admirably in the Texas National Guard to the very end of his obligation.

    More about this Lefty scumbag……..

Lance Reynolds, the flight engineer on the Chinook that was hit, told Stars and Stripes: “It was something personal for us that was kind of life-changing for me. I know how lucky I was to survive it. It felt like a personal experience that someone else wanted to participate in and didn’t deserve to participate in.”

Reynolds told the newspaper that Williams and the NBC cameramen arrived in a helicopter 30 to 60 minutes after his damaged Chinook made a rolling landing at an Iraqi airfield and skidded off the runway into the desert.

I read that article. And it also stated that Politico cherry-picked the stories to come up with those numbers. It discredits their position. That being said, how does that article have any relevance to the current issue that not only did Clinton blatantly lie (appears to be a family tradition), but now it appears so did one of NBC’s top anchors. There’s no walking back those kinds of comments.

Credibility – whether it is a Brian Williams, the Rush ‘Limpbaughs’ of the world or politicians – is but an illusion designed to beguile and deceive the masses.

So, if I understand this correctly, unlike the other party, the people in your party never lie.

Hiram: just a note to recognize you have the intelligence to separate some sarcasm for what it is. Do the brain dead really depend that much on their medula to run autonomic AND their thought processes???

    Yep, they do.

None of these comments excuse Williams for lying. NBC is getting a reputation. They were caught lying twice about that Florida idiot and never ID’d the culprit. They won’t do anything to Williams, either. NBC is an acronym for No Believable Content.

No, no, no. The “It was sarcasm” / “it was hyperbole” defense only is valid for leftists, like our bolshoi comrade dtroutma.

Let’s try this again. Brian fibbed about what bird he was actually in, but at least he WAS actually IN IRAQ.

“W” refused to return from Alabama for his flight physical (among other things) and was AWOL for over 30 days in time of war- that is DESERTING!! HIs Guard records were later altered, and he was given the nearly impossilbe to get early release from the Guard, because of his connections and family. Of the many documents CBS acquired confirming this, only two appeared false because the typeface and reproduction were altertered, but even THOSE documents actually stated facts in the case.

My comment on Migs was SARCASM reflecting that people could indeed look at the many facts at hand related to both father (bombed fishing boats flying the American flag while in the Pacific and bailed out of the aircraft he commanded and left his crew to die!), and son- who came closest to a fight (with the bottle?) in Alabama, not ’Nam.

Williams is attacked what, because he’s somewhat liberal on occasion, and his daughter is now an actress on a popular TV show? Even with the screwup on this and the Katrina “stretch”, I’ll still take Brian reading the script over any statement either Rush or Faux “news” make up on the run, and lie through their collective teeth, a oxy dazes.

“NBC and Williams are getting more heat from their lame stream media buddies "Which shows they want to keep the news accurate. Seems Williams’ embellishment is after 12+ years, at 10+/- years he was still telling it accurately. Trying to smear NBC for that is a stretch which many are ready to grap and run with. (like that dammed football “stuff”)

Glad you enjoy my commentary; to bad you’re in denial. What is missing on both sides was best stated by Edward R. Murrow, “To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; credible we must be truthful.”

By definition Media and Journalism are a Catch 22: Media – the various means of mass communication considered as a whole, including television, radio, magazines, and newspapers, together with the people involved in their production.

Journalism – the profession of gathering, editing, and publishing news reports and related articles for newspapers, magazines, television, or radio.Mark Twain – Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

SFC: on “stolen valor”, GHW bailing out and leaving his crew to die when he panicked, or went out and bombed fishing boats flying the American flag or another trawler at anchor in a harbor, which he shot up, then went in and strafed the crew as they abandoned the ship. (Source: “George Bush, His WW II years” – authorized biography)

For “W” it was his desertion from the National Guard. BTW, my best friend was in the Texas National Guard at the same time, to avoid ’Nam where I was, he readily admitted, and he was also “ticked” at "W"s desertion and faked records to cover for him. My friend DID serve his full time in the Texas Guard btw.
