I’m just reading a novella called Blood of the Dragon by George R. R. Martin in Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine from July of 1996. I haven’t seen Game of Thrones at all yet. Trust me when I say that reading has killed the series for me. I may watch it eventually, but it will never be as good as the printed word was, even if it is wholly excellent.

No, no, no! Wrong! If any medium is pulling assaults and batteries, it’s electronic media assaulting print media!!!

Kind of wasn’t expecting that, actually- he had such a happy disposition when he jumped down off the shelf. Maybe he’s Jekyll & Hyde?

Stabbing the TV is like shooting the piano player. It’s the script writers and directors you wanna go for, Bookie.

I think it’s rare for the movie/TV series to be better than the book. The only one time that springs to mind is The World According to Garp.

The book is probably Nicholas Blake’s “The Smiler With the Knife.”
