I DO support most NASA programs and all the benefits we’ve derived from exploration of space, think Teflon, exotic metals, computer advances, and many other real benefits beyond “Tang”, but WHY the idiocy of putting Man on Mars?? The relationship of the planets to the creation of the universes, and our own planet, is valuable knowledge (ignored by deniers and Repubican pundits, mostly) but “occupancy” of Mars? Oh, right, that was supported by the Bush admiinistration, and Republicans, HAR! while they actually cut budgets for real research and development.
Hey, we could send the Islamists. They would be closer to their god of war.We could also send along the Republicans always looking to invade someone so they can be closer to theirs.

We would probabaly end up in a war with Martians, after so poluting their planet!
Sorry, just could not resist such a sarcastic opportunity!

Great idea. At least we wouldn’t have to listen to their endless ideological gibberish.

But we need two parties, so they can blame each other for not cooperating.
