Actually he has done a great job. Millions more can afford health care, the economy of the US is way ahead of the rest of the world where they adopted conservative austerity measures, no new trillion dollar wars and winding down the old ones and all this in spite of a do nothing Congress.
We should all be grateful. The world did not go into the major depression that it was headed for. Many on both sides deserve credit, and not derision for this. One might expect that Mr. Obama will someday get high marks for this from historical analysis.

I would have to refresh my memory on the details, but some positive remedial things were in motion to forestall that last revolution around the bowl. Mr. GW Bush and a variety of people in his administration initiated some action and enabled a relatively smooth handover to the incoming administration on this particular issue. We might look at the Hoover – Roosevelt transition and the present Greek situation as examples of what could have happened, but did not.I do not think that anyone is entirely happy with the results, but, given the situation, we, the people of the USA, dodged a very large bullet. Perhaps if some different action had been taken on the Bush end of the transition, things would not have turned out so good. One can question how much help the Obama administration subsequently got from the opposition, but, it did not look like 1934 in the USA.

In today’s world, what’s good for America is good for the world and what’s good for the world is good for America.Does it really matter whether it happens under a Republican or a Democrat?
Instead of paramedics for the GOP, it should be for the middle class, they are the ones that always seem to get smacked and taxed by his “free” giveaways. For instance, did you save up for your childs college education? Did you put $25 away here and $50 away their entire life as you could in their 529 plan? Great! Because obama is going to TAX that 529 plan and take the proceedings to pay for his “free” community college for someone who probably already gets federal education grants, tax credits and if they are smart, scholarships. Thats right, you may be struggling and not getting all those awesome free government tax credits because you fall just outside the limits, but that doesn’t matter, they are going to take their FAIR SHARE anyway. I wonder if illegals will be able to use this benefit, because that would make it even better. Yeah,
