It’s unfortunate that Hollywood believes it has to “tart up” history for entertainment value. Or maybe in the case of Selma, it was simply easier to create a narrative that pitted MLK against LBJ in scenarios that didn’t happen in reality.The actual story is interesting enough. And whatever LBJ"strue motivations were , why not simply acknowledge thathis action on civil rights is something his administration gotright?
