    1. I’m so glad ‘toonists on the right have so much understanding of how the Secret Service works (they’ve long proved they don’t have a clue.) and 2. The Ambassador would be the typical attendee under protocols, and was there.

Barry wouldn’t even join 3.7 Million French and the EUROPEAN leaders in standing against Muslim terrorists.“Somehow these world leaders did…..World leaders joined French President Francois Hollande, including British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. The day also brought together an unlikely duo at the rally: Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/11/world/charlie-hebdo-paris-march/

I’m getting really tired of the nabobs of negativism in the comments section. I bet I could have written in advance what Harley or Conserve was going to write. Just look up what they wrote yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that …. going back to Jan 2009 and it would still be the same.

More Obama bashing. The leaders who did show up live in countries the border on France. It’s a short drive or train ride for most of them. Our ambassador was there per normal protocol.

C’mon Harley, you’re tying unrelated things together, and it’s a stretch at that. Let’s keep it on-point. The fact is all the foreign leaders of these nations have Secret-Service-like systems in place, and they attended the rally in a show of solidarity. It was about symbolism more than it was about practicality. If you guys remember, Obama was largely supported by the EU because of who he was and what he promised to be. He let a lot of people down in the EU, and gave off the airs of being a coward in the face of their own equivalent of 9/11. It simply cost him more than it cost us. And when it is set against the backdrop of his comments at the UN in 2012, it makes him have the appearance of apathy or support towards Islam over others. Given his specific comments in the soundbite that keeps getting played, it could be perceived that he sympathizes with the terrorists. I’m not saying that he does, but it’s a very dangerous perception to be giving off.

Look at the heads of state that were there and what they do to in their own countries when it comes to freedom of expression.

It does NOT make the slightest bit of difference to the ultra conservatives here and elsewhare, ANYTHING that president Obama supports or does is simply, wrong! Wrong!! WRONG!!!

I have posted this before, but its truth still bears telling; If president Obama were to come out for traditional Americam values such as Motherhood and Apple Pie, then the ultra conservative haters of president Obama would state that motherhood was somehow unconstitutional, and apple pie was some kind of a Communist plot to overthrow the Unisted States!

Sincerely, sometimes I have come to think that the man has the worst job in this country. It does not make any difference what he believes or does, at least 20 million of his fellow countrymen are going ot hate him for it!!

Let’s pretend you’re right and I drew a cartoon critical of John Boehner (or pick a Republican any Republican) not going to Paris. What do you think the reaction would have been? I’ll tally: There’s not an editor in the world that wouldn’t have had the same reaction: Why the F should John Boehner go to Paris????

Hmm, the Independent in UK has a wider angle photo of that group of “leaders” showing they weren’t actually anywhere near the main demonstration, which WAS a wise decision fro security, but also blown, as is most “news” today, into a massive deception.

George W Bush was in Edinburgh atteninding a G-20 summit on July 7, 2005 when the attacks in London occurred. He did not go down to London with Tony Blair to standby by our ally in its time of need. He immediately flew BACK TO WASHINGTON. The next day, July 8, he went to the British Embassy in Washington to sign the book of condolences. The reason he probably did this was because Secret Service told him to leave for his own security reasons. Think about logistics of having the President attend a rally in a foreign country on less than 48 hour notice. The British or German Chancellor can have breakfast with their families at home, fly to Paris for the rally and be back in their capitals in time for dinner. It isn’t that easy when you’re on the other side of the pond.

“Just terrorists, there’s nothing Islamic about them.”-———————————————————————-Knowing many Muslims from both here in the U.S. and my time in Iraq, I agree that many are disgusted at what is being done by Islamic extremists in their name. However, it takes a special kind of self-imposed blindness to assert that Islamic terrorists are not motivated by their interpretation of Islam.

Just an observation: he’s critized for being a kid in Indonesia, and going to – A CATHOLIC SCHOOL! Criiticized for going to Chicago and attending a CHRISTIAN CHURCH! Makes him a pretty poor Muslim.

And just for the record, no head of state from the Western Hemisphere attended the rally; this includes the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.

Wing: the president of FRANCE was in the middle, between nutty-yahoo and Abbas.Mossad is very competent, like assassinating scientists in Egypt, or hundreds of other covert murders. They’re very competent, just not following what we in the west would call “ethical”.
