What’s all the fuss about? No other Western Hemispheric head of state attended. It was a quickly arranged spontaneous event.Security would have been a nightmare, both for the President and caused by attendance of the President. There are other ways to demonstrate solidarity, other than a photo op.Why is it necessary for American ideologues to obsess on the politics?

How about Holder who was already in Paris, attending, or was President Obama too worried about how it would look if someone other than himself was there?

The cartoon is true, but only if you never listen to any of Obama’s speeches, read any news articles about what he does, or pay attention to any of his actions. Fortunately, if you watch Fox News, you never have to expose yourself to reality, and can believe this crap.

I’ve known and worked with Secret Service folks, NO WAY would they allow Obama, Biden, or other elected top folks in that crowd of EUROPEAN and Meditteranean leaders. BTW something like eight, not 40, actual leaders were on line, so our Ambassador to France being their was appropriate. btw the USA is NOT “KING OF THE WORLD”! Get over it, the rest fo the world doesn’t hang all their hopes, and fealty, on our hook.

Yes, all good Fox “news” viewers/Rush devotees actually believe that Obama is a muslim born in Kenya.-They also believe that Rafael Cruz is eligible to be president of the US.-Two legs good, four legs better.

So Ms. Benson thinks she “scored” with this one…too bad she’s forgotten how clueless G. W. Bush was regarding the CIA’s many warnings about bin Laden before September 11, 2001 (!)

George W Bush was in Edinburgh atteninding a G-20 summit on July 7, 2005 when the attacks in London occurred. He did not go down to London with Tony Blair to standby by our ally in its time of need. He immediately flew BACK TO WASHINGTON. The next day, July 8, he went to the British Embassy in Washington to sign the book of condolences. The reason he probably did this was because Secret Service told him to leave for his own security reasons. Think about logistics of having the President attend a rally in a foreign country on less than 48 hour notice. The British or German Chancellor can have breakfast with their families at home, fly to Paris for the rally and be back in their capitals in time for dinner. It isn’t that easy when you’re on the other side of the pond.

@churchillwasrightIt’s amazing how as a nation across the ocean tries to recover a traumatic tragedy, only thing the rightwing nut jobs can do is look for a reason to bash Obama.By the way, weren’t all these right wingers hating on France when it refused to participate in the invasion of Iraq?

And just for the record, no head of state from the Western Hemisphere attended the rally; this includes the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.

Exotic2; close, but that “sooner” you refer to was letting SCOTUS appoint an idiot to the White House, AFTER his daddy screwed the pooch with that “Arab on Arab thing” total screwup.

Advocating for limiting the power of the government to only those powers granted to it by the terms listed in the U.S. Constitution is such an oppressive act, isn’t it, Pea.Yet, limiting free speech to an out of the way corner of the campus shows real enlightenment, right?

The only adults that act like children are those on the left. Their only 2 debating skills are calling those that disagree with them names and/or insulting them. Very child like.
