I think it’s been ages since Jon gave Garfield a bath (appproximately the early 1980s).
She said exciting, Jon, not suicidal.
Who in their right mind baths a cat, anyway? Unless its a show cat which has to be stupidly immaculate, there’s no need. Cats aren’t dogs, dummy!
Unlike in yesterday’s strip, Jon was probably just joking this time. But as Garfield would say, that is not a joking matter.

Cats don’t need groomers. They have tongues. That’s all they need.
