What was Marco Polio’s reaction to the release of the political prisoners in Cuba?

Fox news online (under “world”) reported the story. Obama’s ploy got 53 people released. In 2013, Amnesty International reported Cuba had 6424 political prisoners. In 2014, the number increased to 8899. Please try to show some perspective when you gush at your Icon’s achievements.

I went to Fox news online and read the article. They reported the same info as USA Today. Is that a good enough source for you?

Exactly. I’m not defending the Cuban government, and certainly not defending an excessive use of “short-term” detentions. The US government detained me three times for political activities, but I wasn’t a political prisoner, at least not for long.

@Jase99:When one is puzzled about inconsistency in our (and most other) government’s choices, it is well to remember that MONEY, or MONEY-TO-BE-MADE is always a large factor in the decision-making process.

Fox reported the same data as USA Today. Are you claiming USA Today isn’t reporting well enough to suit you?
