The Russians have a long history of living in a tough climate, on the peripherals of the rest of the world. “Are we Asian or European?” they often ask themselves. At times, they want to be part of the West. Later, they pull back. The people have suffered exceptionally harsh “leadership” through-out their existence, and have been yanked in different directions often, at the whim of a czar or chairman. Putin is simply one more, and like the others, no one really knows what he might do next!

Oil isn’t everything? Then why did we invade Iraq?

Why are recent presidents close personal friends and business partners with the Saudis?

Louie: notable that the “other” company doing private work had theirm missile blow up because of one of those rebuilt Russian engines. Is this reflective of how well those long stored missiles Putin’s pulling out might actually work?
