My grandfather was a hunter who prayed over every quail, rabbit, etc, he shot, thanking the Creator for the life of the animal and the life it would convey to those who ate it. Caring for your beef cattle, milk cattle, sheep, chickens, pigs or whatever meat/dairy producing animal you raised was not only a form of livelihood, but a responsibility of stewardship. Animals deserve the best quality of life those who raise them can provide, and when they are put down to be butchered for food and other needs, it is incumbent on us to see they die quickly and without fear.Respectfully,C.
