At least it’s not a balut: a fertilized egg (preferably duck) that had been buried in the ground for about two weeks then cooked. It’s considered yummy in the Philippines and parts of S.E. Asia. I never tried one.

My sister cracked an egg once, and there was the shape of a chick in the yolk. Not the full thing, just the shape.
