Supply is the reason for the drop. The Saudi’s have opened up the spigot to drive the price down. The apparent reason, it hurts Iran and hurts our domestic production. As far as war for oil and Iraq I think it had more to do with W seeking revenge for HW at least that’s how Cheney may have sold it.

I guess Bush must have invented fracking? I didn’t know that. I thought the only thing he was good at was looking stupid and starting wars.

We never needed Keystone. The intent was to sell it overseas anyway.

Nothing Obama has done to reduce the price of gas. It’s been private sector and state governments that allow and encourage fracking.

Hasn’t anyone made the connection, as the price of energy goes down, the economy goes up?

Wasn’t it Obama who wanted the cost of gas to go $9-10/gallon to improve the economy and create jobs?? Science and economics aren’t his strong suits, along with his knowledge on international politics.

HAR! Gas goes up in price, ALL OBAMA’s FAULT! Gas goes down due to a glut produced right here at home, Obama has nothing to do with it, well other than opening a lot of land and ocean up to exploration and development, on FEDERAL resources.(read TAXPAYERs being ripped off by the cartels some more)

Private landowners in Texas aren’t too happy about a Canadian company using eminent domain to take their land for the pipeline to export Canadian tar sands refined here either.

BTW: anyone famliar with the oil industry can tell you that American controlled companies in the real cartel, ARE “the Arabs”.

Gas prices are dropping thanks to the Saudis’ trying to lower the price of oil and make it unprofitable to use fracking to get oil out of the ground here. Once we stop fracking the Saudis will start raising the price (cutting production) of oil. Then we will have to start all over again.

None of lower gas prices are due to Ostupid and his policies.

And the banner ad over the Cartoon just happens to be for the Keystone Pipeline. Oh, the irony.

Why would you need the government to allow for any use of your private land?

I hope these low gas prices are curbing creation of cost effective electric vehicles.

Morty, federal leases go for far lower royalties than either state, or from private lands. BTW; those Bakkan leases are mostly on old railroad grants (given away) where they long ago sold the surface(making way more than their investments in railroads back), but kept mineral rights, which is why so many private “landowners” are ticked off, ‘cause they can’t keep the oil/’railroad" companies like BN Santa Fe from working on their lands, and extracting from under them.
