I’ve found that people who make fun of chess—can’t play chess.-————Good observation.

Name some sport for which this is not true?

Wow, there’s pathetic at sports, and then there’s THAT.

Wish my high school had a chess club.

In his “White and Nerdy” song, Alfred Yankovic mentioned he was in AV club and glee club and even the chess team.

Chess is not just a mental sport. A long tournament or match can take a great deal out of a player, both mentally and physically. Bobby Fischer took great pains to keep in top physical shape, especially for matches.
