    Well, if you fill the tub with toys before you turn on the water and then make a big show of not being able to pick out which ones you want to keep in the bath, and then finally break out the snorkel and scuba mask, you might be able to wait until the next day.

    Decades later there was the character “Crybaby Boobie”, Snoopy’s tennis opponent, who cried that the net was too high (or too low), it was too sunny (or too cloudy), the balls were too bouncy (or not bouncy enough), and so forth.
