I know nothing about “God” and neither do you and neither does anyone else. If you’re referring to the old guy with the white beard that humans created in their image, or Zeus, or Allah, or any of the thousands of other creations of the human mind, then you must recognize that’s all they are. The human mind can’t conceive of infinity or nothingness, we are bound here on our humble little planet. If there was a God like you were trained to believe in as a chlld, it’s my position that he would despise the religions of the earth and the horrible things done in its name. In my opinion, religions have been and continue to be the most harmful and destructive forces on our planet and must pass on like all bad ideas.
Christianity/Judaism/Islam/Hindu etc have had thousands of years to bring peace on earth and good will to men and have failed, utterly and miserably. To not see that is in my opinion a total state of denial.
By golly, at least they didn’t water-board anyone. That non-lethal torture is the real problem the propaganda ministry (I mean the media) needs to focus on.
Columbine to New Town to everyday smaller murders with guns in the U.S., yes, Tom, indeed when WILL we do something. No Rational Alternative wins every time however.
