He was a lone gunman, yes. But it does bear asking what the definition of terrorist is. Are they only a terrorist if they have a group’s backing? Or if they express a group’s ideology? I’m not saying this guy was trying to do any of those things. But we are seeing more and more ‘lone gunmen’ types of incidents. Or at least they are receiving more press attention. It might pay not to be too dismissive of it.
