The same philosophy applies to political coverage. Keep the fear and divisiveness levels as high as possible in order to keep fearful viewers watching their political lobbying news agency of choice and to attract their congressional talking heads to interviews. All in the name of profit and stock share.I’ve been watching a new news channel, One American News. They state they are a conservative news channel, but except for their talk shows at night and on weekends, they are actually very objective and cover more than five topics per hour. Fox and MSNBC both follow the same talk show motif of news presentation and their guests typically reflect the ‘side’ for whom they lobby. CNN is nearly worthless as a news source. I also enjoy other news sources, but this attitude by media outlets to only show what ‘sells’ makes it harder for Americans to be, as Eisenhower wanted, an informed and educated electorate.Respectfully,C.
