Immigration could be largely fixed by passing a law to make sure companies could only hire people who are in the country legally and provide a path to citizenship. They could fix the deficit by revising the tax code to prevent other countries from gaming the system, that would bring back trillions of dollars kept in off shore tax havens. While they are at it they might scale back the defense budget which is currently more than the next eight countries put together including Russia and China. They might even get around to working on our decrepit infrastructure which would certainly create a lot more jobs than Keystone ever will.

We have had that law for far longer than Mr. Obama’s presidency. And the law has never been enforced, regardless of which political party is in the White House.
Any idea why? My only answer is that our food costs will skyrocket when we pay legal people legitimate wages to do our farm work. Perhaps you can find another reason. Regardless, blaming Mr. Obama and only Mr. Obama is truly shortsighted.
The riders on the Defense Authorization Bill are sufficient to weight the sled down beyond flight, and from stupid changes in grazing and mining, to expenditures for alleged actual “defense”, the rape and pillage in the bills make Cosby seem like a total saint, but these guys are shafting all Americans, and our lands, while hidden under the covers of “legislation”.
Pot meet kettle, Steve. Democrats have that same velvet bag whose contents are also determined by their campaign donors. It’s the same ploy carried out in different ways, but no matter which party is in power, it’s the money that runs the country.
