Yes, bigotry from all sides is rampant, but the cops don’t have nearly the power to end it, even though it’s criminal ignorance at its base. He told the officers he wouldn’t cooperate and resisted arrest. He was talking to the officers after he was on the ground so he was breathing. His death was an accident.

You really do sound like a bunch of segregationists in the 1950s and 1960s responding to the Civil Rights movement. On the wrong side of history then, on the wrong side of history now.

There’s a reason African Americans overwhelmingly vote Democratic, you know. Here’s a quote from Nixon’s political strategist:
“From now on, the Republicans are never going to get more than 10 to 20 percent of the Negro vote and they don’t need any more than that…but Republicans would be shortsighted if they weakened enforcement of the Voting Rights Act. The more Negroes who register as Democrats in the South, the sooner the Negrophobe whites will quit the Democrats and become Republicans. That’s where the votes are. Without that prodding from the blacks, the whites will backslide into their old comfortable arrangement with the local Democrats.”

Cops need to weed out the bad apples. The code of silence needs to be stopped. Then ALL cops will have credibility and not need body cameras.
