This cartoon is mysterious. Obama has cut the deficit in half since taking over from Bush. If you didn’t know otherwise, you would think Obama was a Republican. Regardless of party labels, he is definitely right of center.

the one thing all of you debt people forget when the congress was in the hand of the rep party the deficit decreased the dem increase it the congress controls the spending and taxing, if you believe in the constitution, not the pres

when bush 2 became president debt was 5727 billion and rose to 10626 billion when he left [ increase of 4999 in 8 years ] it is now 18002 [ increase of 7376 in 6 years ]

the president does not control the money the congress does so if you would check the fact under the dems control of congress deficits increased and under rep control it decreased the president does not have the power to spend money unless the congress approves it
