People need to check in to some of the micro-management coming out of House committees since Boehner’s folks stepped in. It’s become absolutely ludicrouse, and gee, oddly enough the “Executive” branch actually is where management is SUPPOSED to be handled, and sometimes, hands on.
I don’t agree with some things, like continuing Bush NSA programs, and a number of others, but with Congress constantly calling to bomb someone, anyone, how come they scream any time he does? Hagel may indeed may not have been a good manager, which IS what the Secretaries are actually supposed to be, along with advising, but a “no guy” is better to have around than a bunch of “yes men, and women”.
The problem in recent years is that boot lickers do go farther than ass-kickers. (In Congressional and Exectutive circles, actually.)
Congress can’t make an executive department do anything except through a law passed by both chambers and signed by the president. They can and do talk but it is all sound and fury signfying nothing. You need a better attempt at trying to find a way to change the topic or shoot for equivilancy.
