I had mine and realized that I was going to end up doing the same thing my mom did and curse them in advance by wishing their kids would be just like them when they had their own!( both sons and daughters kids seem to be better than mine were at that age, but then its probably just my imagination because if I lived with them 24/7 and had to set rules and boundaries, they would probably not seem like such angels to me – lol – )
My first husband said he wanted no part of raising a daughter so I dumped him. She will be 40 on December 13 and is a wonderful woman, so I guess I did something right somewhere along the line.
Couldn’t be prouder of my twp children. My daughter is an amazing, caring, intelligent woman who at 30 is working on her Masters Degree. My son volunteered after 9-11. Worked his way up to E5 (Sergeant) He went to Afghanistan. Was injured in a suicide bombing. Has decided to counsel other soldiers who have PTSD like he does. I tell everyone he is my hero.
My parents wouldn’t let me study architecture, so I dropped out of college and married to give them grandkids, as they wished.
Put the end to that after 4, as I told my X we could not support more, and divorced him when they were all old enough so I could work full time. They all turned out fine and I’m proud of them all for different reasons. My youngest (the only girl) turned 50 this July.
Two kids, one boy, one girl. Six grands, three boys, three girls. Nine great grads, three boys, six girls. Somebody needs to get busy and have some more boys to even things up again. I don’t seem to be getting any volunteers. Oh, well. Three of them don’t have any kids yet. If they each just had one boy we’d be even again.

Umm, cause there wasn’t nothing on TV that day. Next time I’ll send him out for pizza instead. ;-)
