I was driving in heavy traffic on Portland’s 205 center lane. Heavy traffic passing me on either side. The car in front was going much slower. I was a non-descript little van looking like the rear canopy was maybe home made, No chance to pass with the other lanes crowded. I said to my passenger “I wish this clown would speed up or get out of the way.”A bit later I finally got to move left and pass. When I got to the front of the slowpoke, I glanced to the right. It WAS a clown car with a big red nose on the front and driven by a clown in full costume.
Upstate South Carolina I-85, between Spartanburg and North Carolina, is the worst. You can go anywhere and see one trailer truck going 63 passing a trailer truck going 62. Only in upstate South Carolina do you see cars doing the same thing.
As a driver of a larger vehicle, pass away just don’t get in front and slow down and that happens 90% of the time someone passes me. They just want to be in front because they can’t see around, in reality I want to go faster than they are but they speed up when I try to pass then slow down.
