Nice work if you can get it. At least he’s on time, polite, takes direction well, open to new ideas, never complains, hasn’t asked for a raise or increased benefits. An ideal employee by a lot of measures.
I worked for a large research firm. They had a cadre of senior “thinkers of big thoughts”. One had a secretary who not only typed up his thoughts but made sure he went home at the end of the day, paid his bills and fed him lunch. The company was (probably still is) awash in such side benefits for their favorite thinkers.
Reminds me of this New Adventures of Queen Victoria strip in which bin Laden questioned one of his suicide pilots who had been with him for about 18 years. This, of course, raised the question of his skill at being a suicide pilot.
