This weekend, Chester decided he would not be happy to wait outside the bathroom while I was showering. Barbara let him in as his crying was sooo loud and annoying. While he did not want to get really wet at first. Mostly he ran back and forth on the edge of the tub, attacking the liner when I sprayed it with the showerhead. Eventually he would sit on the corner and jump back and forth from that spot to the shower chair avoiding the big splashes while enjoying the little ones. So he got only a little wet. After he curled up on my feet while I dried off and hugged my calves licking the water off them. So I have a Water Cat (hopefully) I hope one day he will get more into it.Roy Batty since he was a kitten, has been my “After Bath Catty” I lay on the bed wrapped in towels on my side and Roy loves to inspect my armpit, when he is satisfied that it’s to his liking, he lays down, I cover him with the towel, supporting his back with my left arm and pet him with my right hand. He’ll take as few as a few minutes to a half hour to relax and purr like crazy. When he was tiny it was adorable, now, he is a giant (not fat) just mini panther sized.I’ve never seen a cat with legs this long and a body his size.If I can ever get him to pose with Mama Taffy who has 3 years on him (they don’t really get along) the size difference is shocking. It is like they are two completely different species. Barbara has not set a date for the surgery yet, but it will be soon.
Mr. Hollingsworth made me LOL!!!!I too have a beautiful long haired tuxedo boy…Christopher. He loves being brushed in the morning with either his brushes or the dogs’. He gets between the dog and brush and just exults in the grooming.
One of my late ‘Off the Shoulder’ Tuxedo cats, ‘Southwold’. She was only with me a short time, she was found living rough by my sister. She was extremely friendly, but living under a hedge in the costal town of Southwold, Suffolk (UK). She was very old, deaf, and couldn’t jump, but would be asleep on your lap almost before you’d sat down in a chair. We speculated that her previous owner had either died, or had to go into nursing care. Southwold had been around for several months under the hedge being fed by a local couple but winter was fast approaching and the couple couldn’t take her in because they already had a cat. She only had two teeth, we think she as around eighteen to twenty years old, but she looked a lot younger.

I have a 3 year old Tuxedo named Twig. She was found in a bag with her 3 siblings at about 3 weeks old. They all survived and have forever homes. I also call her Miss Diablo. If you get after her for something she stands on her back legs and walks toward you with her front legs stretched out like she’s going to smack you. She fears no one!

Several years ago, I built this as the Persians were getting a bit ‘creaky’ in the legs to make the leap across the gap.

My late fluffy Persian cross Lone Ranger. He passed suddenly (liver failure) on November 23rd 2013. He was a nearly ‘Off the Shoulder’ Tux
He used to dream he was ‘Super Cat!’ (bottom picture)
