I wonder when the tobacco industry is going to sponsor studies to show that the weed is worse than their product.

Echoraven: I have reservations about “recreational”, but MEDICAL MARIJUANA is good for glaucoma, PTSD, fibromyalgia, muscle spasticity with spinal chord injury, and many other factors, not just cancer treatment. Tobacco is often cited as more addictive than heroin, and I’d believe that. Also, pot cannot kill you unless you choke on a brick, but almost every “prescription” drug to treat the same conditions, CAN BE FATAL, even when used as prescribed!

The war on pot (especially commercial hemp, or medical use) is a war on logic, and reality.

Y’all are aware the tobacco companies are moving into the marijuana market, aren’t you? What do you think the word “Altria”(ex-Phillip Morris) means? Same players, similar game, sucker market.

Jonesb: agreement is good, discussing rationally disagreements is also beneficial, often, especially when both sides discuss from the ratonal components that likely exist in both sides. Which, it was “conservative” war policies and ever increasing “defense” spending that borrowed to spend, and “Homeland Security” actually added 33 new departments and directorships to the government, and also increased by trillions of dollars spending on “intelligence” to corpororate entities under contract. Also “government” has been shrinking in recent years, federal, and in local areas, largely because of reduced budget, because of reduced taxes, mostly those NOT paid by the wealthiest Americans and corporatons.

Yes, there IS a lot to have rational discussions about.
